1981 - Began as a ministry of Community Christian Fellowship (CCF) in Taft to help needy women and children with food, clothing, and housing.

 1991 – Recognizing the need for a shelter to help abused women and their children to be safe, CCF purchased a 5 – bedroom modular home with an Emergency Shelter Program grant.

 1992 – Through fundraising, donations, and prayer, Alpha House opened for service.

 1993 – Served 83 women and their children to new lives.

 1996 – Alpha House established as an independent non profit organization with continuing support and participation by the members of CCF.

 2006 – Alpha House served 93 women and their children and helped 17 into new residences.

Alpha House and other community organizations share resources and make referrals in order to provide comprehensive services to clients.
